Coagulation and Flocculation – in this step special chemicals are used To combine small particles into big clumps so that they can settle down easily.
Primary Clarification – the heavy particles settle at the bottom of the tank and clear water moves to the next stage.

Secondary Clarification – the remaining solids are separated from clean Water.
